Hatixhe Ismajli
Visiting Professor at at Indiana University
Ms. Ismajli holds the degree of professor in Faculty of Education at University of Prishtina, Kosovo. She finished Ph.D. on 2007 at the Pedagogy Department in the field of didactics. As of now, she is a professor of several pedagogic courses in BA (Theory of teaching, Philosophy of education, Pedagogy practice etc) and MA (Theory and practice of teaching) in Program: Teaching and Curriculum. In addition she mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate theses mostly focused on teaching, evaluating and usage of technology in the classroom. She is the author of the book “Teaching technology and critical thinking” and has also published a number of scientific articles in international and regional journals involving professional issues from theory and methodology of teaching. Also she has been part of regional scientific conferences.
During 2010-2014 she contributed in research project: “Concepts of citizenship in primary schools of Kosovo”, which was a cooperation between Faculty of Education in Prishtina and University of Education in Zurich. She has attended many study visits in Canada, Denmark, Slovenia etc. Her professional development capabilities were further enhanced in Indiana University (USA) where she participated as a visiting scholar. Currently she serves as a member of the board of Pedagogic Institute of Kosovo. She is a member of Teaching Council at Faculty of Education and plays an active role in many research projects. A crucial part of her work is innovation in teaching content, works in group, connecting theory and practice and using formative and summative assessment. She enjoys collaborating with students and supports their professional progress.
