TLP-SP Pre-Departure Orientation
The first group of students to receive full scholarships for graduate study in the United States throughthe Transformational Leadership Program – Scholarships and Partnerships took part in a pre-departure orientation on the July 23-24 in Pristina. The two-day workshop covered topics including leadership, goal setting, US laws and regulations, adjusting to US culture, representing Kosovo in the United States, general expectations and important information about their travel and accommodation in the US.
The 46 students will be studying for master’s degrees at top universities in the US. Their areas of study include business, public administration, rule of law, education, human rights and peace studies, international affairs, economic development and other fields. Upon the completion of their degrees in the US, the students are required to return to Kosovo and use their knowledge and expertise to contribute to improving Kosovo’s institutional capacities.
